温暖な気候や恵まれた地理条件によって、この地方の木々には通常の３倍の大きさのレモンがたわわに実ります。「パリアレッレ」と呼ばれる栗の木の支柱に麦わらで作られたすだれをかけ、強い日差しや潮風などから守り、成熟を遅らせる作用も働き芳醇な香りとエッセンスが豊富なレモンが育ちます。それは、IGP*が与えられる程の最高品質です。

Thanks to the mild climate and favorable geographical conditions, the trees in this region yield lemons that are three times larger than average. The lemons are protected from the strong sunlight and sea breezes by "Pagliarelle", or chestnut tree poles covered with straw curtains, which also delays the ripening process resulting in the emergence of lemons with a rich aroma and essence. They are of such high quality that they are granted the IGP*.

*IGP：欧州連合(EU)が定めた品質、生産地域、生産方法などの厳しい基準をクリアしたものだけに与えられる呼称。このレモンの品質を守るべく、農家の栽培行程を管理する「ソラグリ Solagri」という組合があり、属する200件以上の農家に化学肥料や添加物を一切使用しない、古くからの製法から収穫後の加工までの指導と共に、厳格な規律を保証している。生産地域、生産方法上の厳しい基準をクリアし、認められたものだけがイタリアの誇るタリアの誇る「ソレント・カプリIGPレモン」となる。

*IGP is a title given only to those products that have passed the strict standards set by the European Union (EU) for quality, production areas, and production methods. To protect the quality of these lemons, there is a cooperative called “Solagri” that controls the cultivation process by providing instructions for over 200 farm households on the traditional methods of farming without any fertilizers or additives, as well as on the post-harvest processing, and thus guarantees the rigorous regulations. Only those lemons that have passed the strictest standards for production areas and production methods are allowed to become Italy's proud “Sorrento Capri IGP Lemons”.

カプリピゥ社は家族経営の小さなリモンチェッロ生産者であり、400年以上続く伝統のレシピで、こだわりの味を造り続けています。着色料や添加物を一切使わず、渋味の一因といわれるレモンの白い果皮をひとつひとつ手作業で取り除くなど、リモンチェッロの上品な味を引き出すための努力を惜しみません。少量生産ならではのあたたかい味わいが今も受け継がれています。

Capripiù is a small, family-run Limoncello producer that has continued to manufacture its signature flavor using a traditional recipe with a history of over 400 years. They spare no effort to bring out the elegant taste of Limoncello by not using any colorants or additives, and manually removing the white rinds of lemons, which are said to be a cause of the astringent taste. Even today, they keep the same heart-warming taste passed down through the generations that cannot be mass-produced.
